  We made Janus particles by partially depositing chromium(Cr) and gold(Au) on  magnesium(Mg) particles(Mg-Cr-Au).

  When fabricated Mg Janus particle is immersed into seawater, chemical  reaction is occurred violently with generating hydrogen gas. This is the chemical  reaction formula for magnesium surface to react with water molecule producing  Mg(OH)₂and H₂gas:

 *  Mg(s) + 2 H₂O(aq)  ->  Mg(OH)₂(s) + H₂(g)

  Particles proceeds in one direction while producing a bubble.

  By connecting the two Janus particles which have opposite direction to each  other with DNA tube, ‘sea motor’ for movement in a circular path at a constant  speed can be made.

  As a result of that deposition, the following results were obtained.

  ‘sea motor’ is moving in NaCl solution at 7.14mm/s speed.

 (* solution temperature : 45-50℃, concentration of NaCl solution : 0.5M)

  We are continuing the experiment.

   If we can attach thiolated DNA to DNA tube, sea motor is complete.
  Ideally, sea motor moves in a circular way.
  We have three expected cases depending on the direction of the Janus  micormotor attached DNA.

  These are movements of the three cases.

 In case of same direction,  work  as straight-line motion.

 In case of reverse direction, the motor work as rotational motion.
 When bisymmetry, work as vibration mode movement.

 Through these various movements, In the future sea motor is expected to be applied for quick delivery of drugs to the aimed position within a human body.
